Luncheon – April 13, 2010

Greetings KBN Partners, Our next luncheon will be April 13, 2010 at Fred’s Market 2120 Harden Blvd. Lakeland Fl., time 12:00pm.

Our speaker will be Rusty Fox of Sandler Training.

All of us are made up of 2 entities: One is our Identity, which consists of our self-concept and self worth. The other is the Roles we carry in life as a husband, wife, father, mother, salesperson, cashier, fisherman, Christian, etc. Most of us, without formal training, do not know how to separate our identity from our roles.

During our school years, there was no place on our report cards for IDENTITY achievement, but we were judged purely on ROLE achievement. Therefore, most of our lives have consisted of jumping a series of bars to prove our worth. . On a scale of 1 to 10, we were all 10’s the day we were born, because God’s work is perfect. For we are ‘ fearfully and wonderfully made’ (Psa. 139:14) Role success IN NO WAY measures our worth as a human being. Didn’t we come into this world alone? Didn’t we come into this world without any role? The answers are yes. Job said, ‘Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither’ (Job 1:21).

In this talk, we’ll go through several exercises to re-discover our God given self worth, then we’ll discuss 4 ways to access the upper levels of our comfort zones. Also, we’ll learn to look at our comfort zones as a motivation, not a barrier. Breaking through your success barrier to higher levels brings with it the exhilaration of accomplishment. ‘For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart (the real you), but shall believe that those those which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith’ (Mark 11:23).
